Operations & MPS Director / VP - Product Group Power & Motion

The Operations and MPS leader is primarily responsible for : -
Coordinating the operations activities within the Product group including HS&E, Quality, Procurement, manufacturing strategy, transfer of Work and Meggitt Production System
Ensuring the achievement of key operations KPIs (TRIR, DPPM, OTD, inventory turns, productivity, LCM transfer hours)
Give direction to the Site Operations leaders to develop and execute the operations strategy in partnership with the sites leaders
Responsible of the transfer of Work team to execute the low cost manufacturing strategy for the PG & division.
Animate the development and the execution (governance) of the Product Group Strategy deployment
Ensuring the deployment of the Meggitt Production System including, Strategic Deployment, Organisational Development, Leadership Culture, Tools & Processes and Performance Management, all of which are key to MPS system effectiveness.
Ensuring that the MPS is deployed in alignment with the Division and Product Group Strategy and develop the scalable, targetable, and flexible areas through the different stages in order to focus the efforts to impact the key performance and financials indicators for the Division.
Coaching the Site leadership Councils to build capabilities in the different MPS tools & processes to enable and support the MPS journey to achieve required results, maturity and capability as the sites advance through the various stages of the Meggitt Production System
Ensuring the best practice sharing within the Product Group
Managing functionally the Site Operations Leaders and Site MPS leaders.

Manufacturing, sourcing, quality, lean manufacturing knowledge and experience
Operations Director, Site Director / General Manager and multi-site Operational Excellence experience
Lean Master certifications, equating to excellent lean manufacturing teaching & observation skills.
Ability to teach and describe excellence
Integrative thinking, leadership impact / influence, and change management skills
Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate the implementation of significant changes in a large organization
Ability to build consensus across multiple functions and all levels of the enterprise
Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems
Strong Program / project Management skills
Clear understanding of the linkages of demand through production and distribution
Track record of driving solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem solving
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning as well as tactical execution road map development
Experience / Education Required :
Ideal candidate can demonstrate prior experience in leading operations multi site and deploying and operating system at a large and mature industrial company (and has seen though maturity phases and several stages of excellence.
Experience in systems deployment, Lean Mfg, Six Sigma / DMAIC methodology
Experience leading Operations / MRO operations or equivalent
Experience in P&L management (site / projects / programs)
Experience in manufacturing / sourcing transitions management
Demonstrated experience in OD / HR toolset and methodology Demonstrated experience in driving functional excellence Initiatives
Master degree in engineering, industrial, supply chain management is desired
Lean Master Certification required, Six Sigma certification a plus
Program / Project Management certification preferred
Must be able to travel at least 50% of working time.
