Brecon High School is on a journey. We are a small school with a huge ambition set within the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park.
Following a challenging Estyn inspection, the governing body and school leaders are determined to develop the school into one of the highest performing secondary schools in Wales.
The school is improving at a notable pace. Having moved into a brand new multi-million pound building during the autumn term, the school is looking to secure additional staffing capacity within the Language, Literacy and Communication and Expressive Arts Areas of Learning Experience.
The new building has state-of-the-art facilities, including a bespoke classrooms and a Drama studio. The school has recently created a new website (www.
brecon-hs.powys.sch.uk) which I would encourage you to look at to learn more about the school.
This appointment will be an important addition to the school. Both AOLE areas are very experienced and you will be joining the school at an important point in its desire to improve.
It is vital that the successful candidate has the necessary drive and determination to support the school to become the very best it can be.
All candidates are asked to complete an application form and submit supportive evidence as prescribed outlining why their skills, experience and abilities make them suitable for the post.
