Job Description

12 month Fixed Term contract within a busy software house based just outside Maidstone . The Application Support Analyst is responsible for :

  • Becoming acquainted with the business applications in order to provide ongoing support and advice to end users, training issues, testing and where necessary, escalating to second line support staff if necessary.
  • Support issues that will be handled by the Application Support Analyst include :

  • Software faults reported by end users
  • System testing
  • Taking ownership of problems on behalf of the user, documenting and communicating progress, status reporting
  • Building and maintaining a portfolio of end user training material
  • Developing Support processes and documentation
  • The role provides first line support for the bespoke software application, accurately diagnosing, recording, classifying, prioritising and assigning unresolved Incidents using agreed Incident Management, Call Management and Service Desk processes.

    This market leading firm provides sophisticated business management software for international blue-chip companies some of which are based in Germany so any ability to speak German would be a huge advantage.

    Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • A good customer service ethos with excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent trouble shooting, triaging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document fully and communicate effectively to second level support staff
  • Excellent written communication skills
