Are you a Band Occupational Therapist looking for a Full Time position based in Nottingham ? We are urgently looking for a Band 5 OT to ASAP until April 2019

Job Title : Occupational Therapist (Band 5)

Reports to : OT Manager or nominated deputy

Role Purpose :

Plan and provide occupational therapy to patients within a low secure service with the support and supervision of Senior Occupational Therapists.

Role Context :

The post is situated within the Forensic Division and located in a low secure setting. The post holder will provide a variety of individual and group occupational therapy interventions to a diverse range of mentally disordered offenders, inclusive of Learning Disability.

Working Practice

  • Deliver a patient needs led occupational therapy programme using a range of assessments, treatment approaches and evaluation based on best available evidence, to a specific patient group.
  • Be actively involved in the clinical risk assessment and development of risk management plans for patients and adhere to these.
  • Effectively manage a nominated caseload under supervision.
  • Adhere to local Forensic OT Quality Standards (2008) and COT Professional Standards for Occupational Therapy (2007).
  • Successfully time manage and prioritise areas of responsibility.
  • Be an active member of the relevant multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical reports as necessary and actively contribute to the Care Programme Approach process.
  • Attend relevant meetings as required
  • Communicate effectively within own service and with other colleagues.
  • Be actively involved in Clinical Governance and quality assurance activities as required.
  • Accurately record statistical information.
  • Keep accurate, appropriate and contemporaneous patient records in accordance with the Forensic Information Governance Group and Trust Policy.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required by the service and the Directorate.
  • Lead on specific developments as required.
  • Pay : £20.00 per hour

    Hours : 37.5 hours per week.

  • Minimum of 18 Months- post graduate experience is required.
