Main Duties

  • To test electrical appliances in line with current Code of Practice
  • To ensure all work is carried out in an efficient timely and safe manner to the MITIE PAT expected standard
  • To deliver the agreed objectives whilst demonstrating an approach expected of a Mitie employee
  • To support all MITIE PAT initiatives
  • To represent MITIE as a customer facing operator and promote Mitie as a business as a whole
  • Maintain regular contact with customers both internal and external to ensure continued satisfaction
  • Directly accountable for the Portable Appliance Testing at the required performance level
  • Attend all jobs as required, PAT all electrical appliances & ensuring all relevant supporting documentation / electronic information is completed and submitted in line with agreed timescales
  • Deliver business compliance across your designated area
  • To understand and comply to all company policy and procedures
  • To ensure we operate within health & safety policy at all times and promote good housekeeping
  • To provide cover and assistance to colleagues working in other regions as and when requested
  • To work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Qualifications

  • In house training will be provided to the right candidate, no experience necessary although desirable.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a can - do attitude, demonstrating the traits of a Mitie employee
  • Self - motivated and able to work under own initiative or as part of a team
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective self management and workload planning
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • PC and smart phone literate
  • Strong customer / client focused attitude
  • Must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for attention to detail
  • Additional Information

    Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and / or via your divisional incident reporting system;
