About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an ECM Solution Analyst to join our Enabling Functions team to work in Motherwell.
Role Purpose :
Support and maintain SharePoint on premise and online and the knowledge sharing and collaboration estate and to provide proactive application management based on good practice.
Work within a team of Analysts to deliver value by enabling new application functionality and features for the business.
Engage with the business and user communities to provide guidance and advice that will help the business make informed decisions to get the best out of the application estate
What you'll be doing
As an ECM Solution Analyst. you will have the following accountabilities :
Provides effective applications support ensuring any relevant incidents allocated are quickly identified, prioritised and resolved to ensure the service provided is in line with the required operational targets and business need;
Proactively resolve system issues through adopting a flexible approach and creating innovative solutions which maintain an acceptable balance between risk, reward, and customer service;
Supports the implementation of the new & changed solutions through the build, test and transition stages in line with the appropriate methodology, process and governance;
Gather requirements from the business users, make recommendations and estimate the effort to complete the work in a formal document for approval;
Supports the implementation and embedding of any changes or new applications to the Application support model, wider IT team and user communities;
Ensures appropriate communication is provided to relevant stakeholders and users on incident and change progress / escalations;
Maintains the Applications within designated area to ensure applications remain compliant to regulations, release and deployment governance processes are adhered to;
Actively identifies risks and escalates upwards to ensure appropriate risk mitigation (as appropriate);
Supports the Enterprise Content Manager and Function Head in developing a good understanding of the forward application road-
maps linked to the business strategy and needs;
Participate in regular day to day service administration tasks to ensure the availability of solutions;
Contribute to the effective operation of the team through continuous improvement;
Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following qualities and experience :
Experience with IT administering / developing in SharePoint;
SharePoint 2010 including FAST search / 2013
SharePoint tools including InfoPath, SharePoint Designer and third party products such as ShareGate and Nintex
Customised web parts and web part pages; creating sites, document libraries, lists and views; search and taxonomies; permissions and reporting functions
The following experience would be desirable :
Knowledge of CSOM
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Office 365 services such as Flow and PowerApps
Microsoft SQL Server / SSIS / SSRS
Experience with 3rd Party support models to track, manage and resolve issues;
Experience of being able to balance multiple priorities and workloads both strategically and short-term, including ambiguity;
Highly customer & delivery focused meeting and exceeding customer expectations;
Takes responsibility, is independent and self-starting;
Demonstrates teamwork at a high level, highly collaborative approach, among the first to volunteer to help others succeed;
Experience of handling service escalations;
