  • Implement Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-effective supply of materials.
  • Contribute to the implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.
  • g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).

  • Prepare and conduct negotiations for low to medium Purchasing Volumes (for selected, standardised material fields), with support of Buyer / Senior Buyer in some cases, to obtain the highest feasible savings.
  • Generate, document and implement savings, e.g. CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant key performance metrics, to contribute to the success of the business and make results clear.
  • Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency.
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement.
  • Forward systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all project participants up to date.
  • What you need to make real what matters.

    As the Buyer, you will have experience of qualifying and evaluating suppliers, classifications, development measures, creating contract entries, and creating RFX and eAuctions.

    You will also have :

  • Experience of analysing demand within your regional material field in regard to quantitative and qualitative aspects.
  • Experience of conducting regional market analyses independently.
  • Experience of preparing and carrying out basic regional negotiations.
  • Experience of contract templates and ability to apply them for simple contract situations (e.g. NDA).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of what industry standards and norms apply to your commodity.
  • Experience of providing reliable and precise cost calculations / comparisons behind supplier offers.
