As Principal Lecturer you will be part of the senior leadership and management team within the Department with direct line management responsibility.
You will be expected to work strategically with a range of social work and social care partners as a key member of the D2N2 Teaching Partnership.
You will support the Head of Department in leading developments and delivery of our Post-Graduate offer including the MA Social Work course and Continuous Professional Framework provision.
You will work alongside, and support, a peer Principal Lecturer with responsibility for the Under-Graduate offer including BA Social Work course and Social Work Apprenticeship Degree (pending approval).
We are seeking an experienced social worker and academic, with a dynamic and socially enterprising approach, who has experience of higher education research and teaching, work-
based / commissioned training and education, and has a deep understanding of the current trends and developments in social work practice and education.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with knowledge of requirements of Social Work education including Professional Capabilities Framework and the HCPC's Standards of Proficiency.
You must hold a Social Work Qualification which could be a HCPC recognised Degree, Dip SW or CQSW.
