Working within a team environment you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help keep our clients safe and well at home independently.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.

A CAREGiver spends time with the same regular clients, building great working relationships.
You have to be sociable as you may be the only person the client sees during the day, this involves providing companionship and putting a smile on some ones face.
You will need to be supportive and be there if the client has lost confidence to help themselves in and out of the shower or bath.
You might have to pop to the shops to pick up a few things for those clients who are unable to get out due to COVID-19. you may also be asked to help with housework.
Listening to client's and offering support and companionship during these difficult times when clients aren't able to have family visit as normal is cruicial for maintaining clients' well being. So sharing their stories and finding out about the person you are sharing time with is a very important part of your role. You will also become part of a team so being a team player and working with others to care and support clients well is so important.
