Trainee General Secretary

Office Based - Edinburgh

Search Consultancy are working on behalf of our reputable legal client based in Edinburgh, to recruit a Trainee General Secretary on a permanent and full time basis.

This role will be very suited to someone who is looking to have a successful career within a legal support function.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to specialise in a particular area of Law once they have completed the traineeship.

Duties involved in this role will include :

  • Supporting fee earners in completing client work
  • Administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning and copying
  • Completing a variety of legal documentation
  • Various other general administration tasks and assistance as required
  • In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include :

  • Excellent administration, attention to detail & organisational skills
  • Solid IT skills including the use of the MS Office suite & the ability to pick up bespoke systems effectively
  • Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal
  • Candidates who have worked in a legal setting would be preferred, but this is not essential
