They say there’s no place like home. When you enter into our Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Programme, you’ll have a huge part to play in making sure that’s true for all of our residents.
This is an enhanced health care assistant role that will, after a period of extensive training and competency assessments, enable you to provide care and clinical interventions to enhance the resident experience and the level of care residents receive under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
On a daily basis you will, support the nurse community acting as a nursing assistant and delivering excellent standards of clinical care, whilst enhancing independence and personal choice.
For you, it all starts with unique hands-on training; from administering medication and taking blood pressure, to putting care plans into practice.
You’ll support our nurses, and in turn, they’ll continually support you. As the link between our nursing and care teams, you’ll thrive on the chance to quickly develop your leadership skills, confidence and career within social care, with opportunities to progress if you choose, whether that’s progressing into nursing, management or both.
We’re looking for very experienced Care Assistants that have already achieved or are working towards a Level 3 qualification in Health in Social Care (or equivalent).
Above all, we want to see real ambition to develop a career in social care. To join us as a CHAP, it goes without saying that you’ll need to be caring, compassionate and empathetic.
You’ll also need to be a hands on quick learner ready to take on a challenge.
Full training will be provided, over a minimum of 12 weeks, where you will have a dedicated nurse mentor to work alongside and lots of support from our dedicated CHAP Team.
Following this, you will become a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, you will receive an enhanced rate of pay, be invited to a graduation with peers across your region where you will be presented with a Four Seasons Health Care Fob Watch and Certificate and you will continue to create special resident experiences within our homes.
