Pharmacovigilance Medical Safety Officer

About the Opportunity

As a Pharmacovigilance Medical Safety Officer you will be responsible for ensuring all assigned UK and Ireland Sanofi products are acceptably safe by the design, implementation, management and monitoring of a safety benefit-risk strategy that meets Global Pharmacovigilance, local and global regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with the Head of Pharmacovigilance for UK and Ireland

Key responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring all assigned UK and Ireland Sanofi products are acceptably safe by the design, implementation, management and monitoring of a safety benefit-risk strategy that meets Global Pharmacovigilance GPV , local and global regulatory requirements

To ensure that the MCSH and / or representative QPPV is informed in a timely and accurate fashion of all potential safety, compliance, quality and regulatory issues

Act as a Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance to support the UKQPPV in accordance with applicable local regulatory requirements

To assist and support the MCSH. National Contact Person and / or Pharmacovigilance Managers in managing the department Quality Management System and compliance responsibilities according to applicable regulations

About You

To excel in this role you will need to be / have :

Qualified medical practitioner or PhD graduate

Previous work experience in Drug Safety, pharmacovigilance, pharmacy, nursing or clinical experience in medicine

Sound understanding of the principles of Pharmacovigilance

Broad Pharmaceutical therapeutic experience is an advantage

High level of medical competence and industry standards awareness

Attention to detail and good organisational / analytical skills / time management skills.

Good communication and presentation skills
