Markets & Securities Services (MSS) Technology, a global function of 6500+ Tech professionals work in partnership with the business who rely on us for delivering innovative, robust, stable platforms to enable their investment and financial solutions for clients.

These include both vendor-based products and a number of award winning in-house primary trading systems. We have a long-term vision for MSS Tech a future state of architecture that is strategic and disciplined, that enables future updates and costs less.

Role Description

Within MSS, Rates IT is responsible for the provision and maintenance of tools and applications necessary to support all activity within the Rates business.

The global Rates IT organization is split up in three major functional areas, one of which is Pricing and Risk. The role we are hiring for IT Quantitative Developer / Quant Dev for real-time pricing.

The successful Quantitative Developer / Quant Dev will need to understand the real-time pricing, risk and Algo needs of the Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets businesses across key strategic locations in EMEA.

They will also need to understand the needs of both the global business, Product Control, Quantitative Analysts and Control and IT.

The role will take part of the Regional team development and add value to both the local and global user base.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the design for real-time pricing / risk solution in trading system for Rates business
  • Follow technical guidance for developers in the team
  • Work with global Keystone and other development teams to align work in progress with efforts in other areas of the bank
  • Work closely with Front Office and Quants to implement pricing / risk models and Algo trading strategies in low latency system
  • Support systems during rotas.
  • Requirements

    Essential Skillset / Experience

  • Experience on working with real-time pricing, risk and Algo trading system in Tier 1 investment banks
  • Some product knowledge and experience across G7 and EM for Rates trading system from major financial institutions
  • Some mathematical, quantitativeskills and logical mind, effective problem solver to meet technical and business challenges.
  • Programming skills in Java, C++, C#, SQL, KDB, Perl, Python and MatLab, hands on experience with pub / sub technology
  • Understanding of all front to back business support functions
  • Experience working with both onshore and offshore resources

    The role will be based in London but some travel may be required.
