Platform Resourcing are working in partnership with a Manufacturing Business based in Pontypridd who are
looking to employ a permanent CNC Machinist to their well established manufacturing company that is
growing after years of success.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager, responsible for the programming and
operation of CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered parts.

Day shifts only - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
CNC Turning experience and the use of manual toolroom machinery would be an advantage.
Programming parts on the control panel and from models using CAD / CAM software including
SolidCAM.
Working from drawings / models to produce parts to accurate tolerances.
To work within company's ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality management system ensuring
documented procedures are correctly followed.
Use of all types of measurement equipment.
Raise issues to management regarding work plan conflicts.
To Train others when required.
To ensure cleanliness of equipment / machines are maintained to the required standard.
To ensure all activities follow our standing operating procedures (SOP's).
To highlight any non-conforming product, shortage or forthcoming issues as soon as possible.
CNC Machinist Essential Experience / Qualifications
Time served in CNC Machining & programming.
Use of CAD / CAM software - must have proven experience of programming parts on the control panel
and from models using CAD / CAM software.
Able to read and work from drawings and specifications.
Good communication skills, strong team player.
Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong work ethic, eye for detail with a quality focus.
