Maintenance Surveyor (Safety and Compliance)

You will be working as an integral member of our Safety and Compliance team and will provide technical advice to improve the quality standards of our maintenance service.
You’ll be delivering a responsive, high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers using customer insight to maximise the customer experience.
You’ll have the ability to manage, control budgets and expenditure with effective time management skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
You will have the ability to work unsupervised covering a large geographical area.
Previous experience of contract management / working with external partners and a relevant technical qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous in this role.
You’ll have knowledge in safety and compliance but specifically would welcome past working experience in Gas Safety, Lift servicing, maintenance and water hygiene and asbestos management.
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to drive and have access to your own vehicle which you will be able to claim your business miles back on.

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a safe place to live for all our customers.
This is through our works in gas and electrical servicing, lift maintenance and water hygiene to name just a few.
We are a relatively new team in the South, 16 staff (when all recruited) spread over a wide area. To us were not just a team we’re a work family’.
The team are led by Kylie and David who have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with you. There are currently 10 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! We are a new team so even more of an exciting time to start as we form strong working relationships.
Where you will work
It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered.
You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!
You’ll work across our South region, Cornwall across to Norfolk and you will have specific responsibility for our properties / estates and buildings within your area.
Some travel will be required but we work as a team with colleagues looking after the properties closest to them. The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices, manage your own diary and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
