At Orbis, we specialise in providing individualised support to enrich people's lives and help them grow as individuals. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers to join our passionate team supporting people with complex needs associated with autism.

Where is the role based?

You will be working 40.25 hours per week (days, nights, weekends) at our Coed Parc home in Cwmavon, Port Talbot.

Salary £18,648.63- £20,804.42 Per Annum

Nights only and part time opportunities (23 hrs +) available

  • What does the Support Worker role involve?

  • Providing the highest quality care to people we support
  • Using a range of communication methods to assist individuals to make informed day-to-day choices
  • Promoting independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities
  • Undertaking general housekeeping duties, plus elements of personal care
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise
  • What do you need to be a Support Worker?

  • Previous care experience preferred but not essential
  • A can-do attitude, resilient and reliable nature
  • Compassion and empathy
  • Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice
