Kymab is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indications.

The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, integrated platforms collectively called IntelliSelect®.

Kymab’s platforms have been designed to maximize the diversity of human antibodies produced in response to immunization with antigens.

Selecting from a broad diversity of fully human antibodies allows for the identification of antibodies with optimal drug-like properties.

We are looking to recruit an an experienced payroll manager to be responsible for ensuring all payroll tasks are undertaken to an accurate and timely basis, working for 20-25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

The role is part of the Finance team comprising the CFO, Group Financial Controller, Management Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Supervisor and a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

The successful applicant will report to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll tasks are undertaken to an accurate and timely basis. Duties will include :

  • Collating monthly payroll information to be sent to PSC (payroll bureau) for payroll processing
  • Reconciling payroll output from PSC to adjustments requested
  • Ensuring that the monthly payroll output is correct for importing into the accounts
  • Ensuring that all payroll related payments are made on a timely basis
  • Reconciling monthly pension contributions for all employees to output from PSC
  • Making monthly payments to pension provider
  • Answering payroll related queries from employees
  • Reconciling employee benefits for healthcare to monthly invoices
  • Producing information to be sent to PSC for timely production of P11d’s
  • Assisting with administration of the employee share and share options schemes
  • Producing payroll information for audit purposes
  • Produce payroll information for HR for pay rises and bonus calculations
  • Any other adhoc duties as maybe required
  • Requirements

    Education & Experience

    Extensive experience of running payroll either inhouse or using a payroll bureau

    Experience of working with PAYE / NI, SMP, Tax Codes, Salary Sacrifice schemes, etc.

    Experience of using Microsoft Excel & Payroll reconciliations

    Skills & Knowledge

    Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

    Knowledge of PAYE / NI, SMP, Tax Codes, Salary Sacrifice schemes

    Ability to work autonomously whilst being a team player

    Excellent organisational skills

    Energetic & enthusiastic approach to work
