We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work in our well-established veterinary practice in Pontefract. We strive to provide friendly and personal care to our patients and offer a comprehensive range of modern diagnostic and surgical facilities to ensure the highest levels of care are provided to our patients.
We have an excellent team of vets, nurses and receptionists and aim to build strong and lasting relationships with our clients and patients.
Your role will be working as part of a team that supports in theatre, provides inpatient care and carries out consults, admissions and discharges.
our Veterinary Nurses are also involved in dispensing medication, encouraging financial contributions from clients and maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the practice and equipment.
We are currently seeking a candidate who is friendly, passionate and works well within a team. The role is 5 days a week and 1 : 4 weekends.
A fair share of bank holidays and on call. The hours are 8.30-5.30 and 10.30- 7.30 on a fair rotation.

Pontefract has three consult rooms, a dedicated nurse room, theatre, ultrasound, dental machine and radiography. This is a large practice that is also soon to be refurbished.
Out of hours service is provided by our emergency and critical care 24 hour Dearne Valley hospital.
The 24 Dearne valley hospital offers a wide range of services and facilities, including an excellent suite of imaging facilities with MRI, CT, ultrasound and fibre-optic scoping equipment.
