The Network Operations team focuses on incident management, problem management, and new deployments, including but not limited to : level 3 support for all network related issues and troubleshooting, maintaining the lifecycle of our network gear, deploying the best and cutting edge network solutions (in datacenters, extranets, etc), ensuring that best practices are adhered to, and regularly performing audits to maintain standards.
We are looking for a technically hands on lead for the Network Operations team in the EMEA region. The candidate will lead a team of network technicians and will oversee incident management and deliver key projects while maintaining the stability of the global network.
Network Operations leverages a follow the sun model with the global team in EMEA, North America, and APAC.
The candidate should be a highly motivated team player with a good analytical mindset, a solid working knowledge of routing and switching, familiarity with packet capture analysis using Wireshark, and good communication skills.
He / she will interact directly with the users and with other technologists within various teams across the networking teams and other silo’s.
The candidate will be a point of contact for escalations and will relay pertinent details to management. The candidate should be available for weekend work and on-call support as needed.
This is an ideal opportunity for the right person to enhance their technical abilities in a large enterprise environment, manage a team of talented L3 engineers, and be a mentor for all the teams including L1 and L2.
