Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer searching for a new exciting challenge?

If the answer is yes- then look no further, Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for two Multi-Skilled Engineers to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support our Engineering Department during the implementation of an exciting global project.

Based at our manufacturing site in Folkestone, these two fixed-term contract roles will involve maintenance and repairs of Production and Plant Equipment whilst driving efficiency through continuous improvement activities and automation developments.

Multi-Skilled Engineers ensure that regular checks and are completed and test plant equipment to ensure that they are operating within the correct specification.

Working as part of a small team, you will execute maintenance procedures, prioritise all work in line with plant needs and production availability and ensuring that Health & Safety and Quality procedures are strictly followed.

As part of this role you will be required to work a 12-hour shift running on a rotating shift patterns from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

The ideal candidate must have both an Electrical and Mechanical background and experience of working on high speed lines in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business.

You must be an enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with all levels of staff and contractors within the business

Education and Experience required :

  • Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery
  • Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
  • Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
  • Experience of troubleshooting and resolving PLC & Robotic issues
  • Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects
  • Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Basic Lean Six Sigma Knowledge / Qualifications is ideal
