We work as part of a Framework delivering reactive repairand maintenance services across the regions in the South West, whether it beresponding to fix a water leak or replacing a main on planned works, we will bethere ensuring we complete the works in a safe and timely way.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Manager tojoin the team, who will be responsible for managing an area and ensuringeffective delivery of operational aspects of the South West Water NSA contract.
Ensuring that operations are carried out on time, to specification and withinQuality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines as stated in company andcontract documents is key.
This role will see you oversee the day to day running ofthe area leading a small team of supervisors, R&M and planned works gangs(both direct and subcontract), site support, surveyors and backfill teams.
Youwill help to manage the overall performance of the area including cost,productivity, compliance and levels of service.
In addition, it will be yourjob to ensure all teams are fully productive and have the necessary support andresources to achieve maximum productivity, whilst communicating daily withClient’s, Area Managers and Schedulers to ensure the smooth running of thearea.
This role will require you to work as part of a 5-day shiftpattern (including a Saturday or Sunday on a rota-basis) as well as the need toundertake standby duties.
Weekend working as part of the shift is compensatedwith a weekday off, providing flexibility and opportunity for improved worklife balance for many.
What do we needfrom you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual withexperience of managing people both direct and sub contract on R&M WaterNetwork Contracts (or equivalent such as gas, electricity, telecoms), with anexcellent understanding of work methods involved.
You will also hold or have held the following qualifications,SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, Temporary Works Training, Deep Excavation and a fullunderstanding of SSOW and development of RAMS.
