An exciting new opportunity in Kent County Council has arisen to join the team working in The Nest, which is a small 3 bedded residential unit offering support to individuals aged 13 18 with behaviours that challenge.
The unit offers that support in a time limited assessment period which will help individuals transition to other longer term services.
The applicant will need to have a Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent.
You will work as part of a team supporting individuals and contributing to support plans, which can effect changes to behaviour.
You will be required to work a set shift pattern, which includes alternate weekends.
You will have experience of supporting individuals with challenging behaviours.
Applicants should have experience of working with learning disabled adults or children.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English / Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
