My client are offering an industry leading package to join their team as a Commercial Account Handler. The package includes free parking, pension, healthcare and Christmas off.

In return they are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their growing team.As a Commercial Account Handler your main objective will be To deliver a prompt and professional service to the existing client base, ensuring that all renewal income is in line with the company budget and that the client's interests are being duly served.

To assist with new business broking and to help ensure the smooth internal running of the General Insurance Office. Duties Include :

  • To ensure professional service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Procedure Manual
  • To assist in the conversion of new business
  • Respond to enquiries from clients and insurers received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated
  • To share responsibility for dealing with any actions attaching to existing clients on mid-term adjustments
  • Check emails and respond appropriately
  • Answering telephones and dealing with enquiries from clients and insurers in an appropriate and expeditious manner
  • Handling of post on a daily basis. Deal with as appropriately or refer to Account Executive for instructions
  • Deal with MTAs and quotations requested
  • Deal with insurers regarding quotations and policy queries
  • Issue relevant FCA letters and invoices where required
  • Liaise with Account Executive to agree renewal strategy for Serviced Clients in line with renewal timetable as determined by Account Executive
  • Input new business details and upload insurer documentation to the system
  • Preparation of Broking Presentations to insurers (New & Existing Business)
  • Preparation of Renewal Reports for Serviced Clients in line with Account Executive's instructions
  • Monitoring responses to broking exercises from Market and discuss with Account Executive
  • Preparation of New Business Reports where required
  • Monitoring Aged Debtors with referral to Account Executive where Required
  • Scanning (or supervising) of documents onto electronic files and storage on correct policy files
