Ideally you will be a Mechanical Engineer who is highly experienced in new Product Development , preferably Solar, and come from a plastics , injection moulding background.
In this role you will be leading a team , both here and overseas , striving for excellence, developing next generation solar inverter technology for residential and commercial use.
Your team will consist of 10-15 people with new product development being the primary focus, supporting product implementation while investigating existing products and cost reduction efforts.
The products are technically challenging and highly innovative ? having the ability to design for low cost, high volume and high reliability requirements in a harsh outdoor environment is the ultimate goal.
Ensuring the correct developmental processes and procedures are followed and maximizing the department output with the given resources.
Your main accountabilities will be mechanical and packaging product development, maintaining schedules, hiring high end talent and resource management.
Effective communication is another one of your key strengths in ensuring all the various departments are kept up to date as you will be working closely with Firmware, Hardware, and ASIC managers.
