What you will do We have an exciting opportunity for a Contractor Sales Consultant to join our growing sales teams. The role of Contractor Sales Consultant is focused on building relationships with main Contractors, Mechanical & Electrical and Specifiers to uncover and win technical sales Fire and Security solutions to drive installation and service growth annual maintenance revenues within the Johnson Controls Relationship Sales Channel.
Through proactive planning and driven sales activity, the role is to develop and maximize relationships together with identification of new business opportunities for development, for all enterprise solutions that JCI can offer within the market.
How you will do it As a Contractor Sales Consultant you will be able to function independently but will also be able to leverage resources and engage with other operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service.
Through your previous sales experience and successful track record you will identify new contractor accounts active within your territory.
You will have proven experience within the contracting sectors and possess solid product knowledge and understanding of technical specifications, costs, specifications and quotations that meet the requirements & needs of the customer.
For large and / or complex proposals an Estimator / Technical Bid Manager will support through the formation of a bid team.
Through focused sales activities executed with a consistent rhythm, the key objectives for the Sales Consultant are pipeline growth and conversion improvement, to drive bookings growth against a defined sales target.
What we look for We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a successful track record of achievement within a contracting sales role and be competitive in their approach to business.
You will be able to identify and target new projects through desktop research and contractor / consultant activity. You will also ideally have previous experience within Fire and Security industry and working with M & E contractors.
