Tax Assistant Manager - GMS, Corporate Clients, London

Role

We are looking for a Global Mobility Services (GMS) Assistant Manager to work in our People Services tax team across large Corporate clients.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Assist engagement managers with the day to day global coordination and / or UK service delivery of client engagements (dependent on the client portfolio).
  • Assist with UK tax compliance and work closely with the KPMG Centre of Excellence to deliver on all aspects of mobile workforce compliance.
  • Prepare income tax, NIC and tax equalisation calculations, and cost projections, among others.
  • Serve as the day to day contact for allocated clients whilst building and maintaining strong and long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare written UK tax technical advice to support clients on Global Mobility matters.
  • Conduct arrival and departure briefings.
  • Contribute towards global advisory projects for clients, covering tax, social security, process, policy and efficiencies.
  • Update clients on GMS technical developments.
  • Assist engagement managers with financial management.
  • Support junior colleagues through informal coaching. Experience and Background :
  • Min. 3 years’ experience working in expatriate / global mobility tax services in Big 4 or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in an in-house Global Mobility / HR team or working overseas would be beneficial but is not required.

  • ACA / ATT / CTA qualified or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are preferred.
  • Microsoft Power BI experience for reporting is welcome but not essential.
