Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference?

Could you help teach essential life skills to young people with learning disabilities?

Experience preferable although not essential

You'll provide support in our No Limits division which caters for young people up to age 25 years old who have a range of learning disabilities including autism.

You will be there to help teach life skills such as crossing roads, awareness of money, shopping and other day to day tasks.

Negotiable hours depending on experience, roughly around 30 hours over 7 days if needed but there is the possibility of more or less hours.

We are also looking for Relief (Bank) staff who can cover annual leave and sickness when the regular staff are unavailable.

Please state 'Relief' on your application if you are interested in this position.

Some things you need to know :

  • You'll be working in and around the Northwich area although some travel further afield may be required.
  • Sometimes you may be required to work weekends as well as possible overnights.
  • You must be able to drive and have your own transport with business insurance, as you will be supporting young people from their homes.
  • However, we will occasionally consider a non-driver for the right candidate who is adept at using public transport

  • Some people require help with personal care or medication. When anxious, they can display challenging behaviour and require emotional reassurance and support.
  • We'll provide full training and day-to-day support in all aspects of your job, including these.

  • The MacIntyre office for this service is based in Warrington so occasionally travel here will be required to deal with the administrative side of the role.
  • Because our Teaching Assistants work mostly out in the community rather than in a classroom setting, your job title would be Community Learning Facilitator (CLF).
  • For more information, call Alison Thomas on Tel : 01925 230337.
