  • An SEN Provision in Skelmersdale is currently seeking a number of additional support staff for school. This role in particular is to start in December or January, however dependent the successful applicants availability there may be flexibility with this.

    The school is keen to secure a full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistants. This SEN school caters for young people aged 5 to 11 who have individual needs based on Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

    These roles involve providing classroom support as well as elements of working on a 1 : 1 basis with a pupils. The aim of these roles are to encourage engagement within lessons, to improve the pupils behaviour and help them access the tailored curriculum.

    The school aim to give the children a knowledge and understanding of the world in which we live. The want them to be sensitive to others and understand individual personal relationships.

    This role is currently on a temporary basis with the view to continue for the remainder of the academic year. The Head Teacher has explained there may be an interest in the successful candidate continuing in school on a school contract at some point.

    The school have said they would like applicants with prior school based experience.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
