Role Summary :

The Process Engineer for Advanced Machining & Adaptive Technologies will support manufacturing processes across the Rutland enterprise as a subject matter expert.

The role requires mastery of a combination of mathematics, mechanical engineering, and computer science.

Essential Responsibilities :

Additionally, the Process Engineer for Advanced machining & Adaptive Technologies will :

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • As part of the central Manufacturing Engineering team, work together with organizations across the shop, including hourly operators, peers, business and site leadership
  • Specify needs, communicate about project approach and research done, as well as deliver final product
  • Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies such as : 3D Software Experience (preferably UG)3D Surface definition (B-
  • Spline surface) & manipulationAdept Python programmingNC Manufacturing Processes (e.g., 5-Axis)MathematicsLinear Algebra

  • Demonstrate Strong Problem Solving Skills (Creative solutions)
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Machining
