About us

We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved : the agent, landlord and tenant.

We knew generation rent would lead to more tenants, with higher digital expectations and we were confident we could provide a solution.

And we did. Like all young companies it’s been a bit of a roller coaster journey, but we’re now stronger than ever, with over 500 happy customers and exciting new products.

We have ambitious plans but with Mr William Reeve at the helm alongside co-founder Tom Mundy and a brilliant team of over 80 talented Goodlordians we are confident we’ll achieve these.

About the role

  • Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world. To help us achieve this we’re growing our team and introducing the role of Area Sales Manager, allowing us to expand our reach in three key locations;
  • Bristol, Liverpool and Newcastle.

    As the first Goodlordian in these areas, we’ll be looking to you for expert advice on the local market, to build an outstanding reputation and to be the face of Goodlord.

    You’ll be responsible for managing an agreed patch, generating your own leads and picking up any internal leads within your area.

    There will be lots to do and you’ll need to be relentless in your approach, but with that you’ll have complete autonomy and a real opportunity to shape both the role and the future of Goodlord.

    About you :

    We’d love to hear from you if :

  • you thrive in a 360 sales role and have proven examples of success
  • you share our belief that records are there to be broken; you’ve consistently been a high performer and top of the leaderboard for deals completed
  • you have experience working within the property industry
  • you know the location like the back of your hand; you have localised experience working and selling to estate and lettings agencies
  • through your previous experience you’ve established yourself in the industry, have an excellent reputation and a bug network of contacts you can utilise to hit the ground quickly
  • you love being on the road and have complete flexibility to travel, both in the local area and to our London office
  • you’re super organised and have proven your ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • change doesn’t faze you; you take the rough with the smooth and take people with you on that journey
  • you are energetic, creative, curious and confident
  • you get on with everyone and anyone and adapt your style to communicate most effectively with them
  • you are full of ideas, are not shy about expressing them and get excited about executing them
  • you have a positive attitude, and work well under pressure

    Although this role will be home based, we’ll need you to be flexible with travelling to our London office, especially within your first few months.

    We’ll need you to be here once a week and on the odd occasion to stay the night. Needless to say, we’ll cover the cost.

    To fulfil the role you’ll need to travel freely around your agreed patch so will need a full UK driving license (with six or less points).

    You’ll also need a car that’s less than 5 years old, and car insurance that covers you travelling for work. This will be your responsibility and we’ll need you to show us a copy of this before you can start.

    To compensate you, you’ll have a car allowance of £5,000 per year and we’ll cover your petrol costs. You’ll just need to complete a mileage form which will be approved by your manager.

    All other expenses (parking etc) can be processed through Receipt Bank, making expense claiming quick and easy.
