  • About the Role

    Based in Carmarthenshire, Wales, Ty Hendy is an innovative residential service that responds to the unique needs of individuals with learning disabilities and other complex needs within three specialist person-centred settings.

    The Laurels consists of five self-contained flats that provide young adults with a learning disability and a range of complex needs with an individualised and adaptable living environment.

    The Oaks are two sets of two-bedroom shared apartments for individuals with a learning disability and / or autism. The Hollies is a specialist residential setting with eight en-suite bedrooms for people with a learning disability and early-onset dementia / cognitive decline who may also have a physical disability.

    You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out.

    Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties.

    Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.

    You may be new to care or already have experience in the sector as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Giver.
