For the summer terms, this position is in Year 6, but is likely to be in another year group from autumn 2019. There is the possibility that this position may be extended beyond the period of maternity cover.
The successful applicant will work alongside the existing Year 6 teacher for the first two weeks after Easter in order to ensure a smooth transition.
We would then need our new teacher to lead our Year 6 children through SATs testing and a wide range of creative and sporting opportunities, making their final term of primary school a creative and fun experience.
The Year 6 class are well supported by two teaching assistants, who bring strong levels of expertise. Our children are fun, enthusiastic and well behaved and we would welcome a flexible approach to teaching and learning in Term 6, with the freedom to introduce new experiences and themed days and weeks into the curriculum.
