At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! Were looking for an Engagement Officer to join our Achieve Oxfordshire service.

Achieve Oxfordshire is the weight management service for the county. We offer a variety of exciting programmes to help residents get healthier and feel happier.

There is the choice of WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Man v Fat Football, Man v Fat Challenge and our internal programme, Lose Weight with Achieve.

We are also developing and delivering exciting pilot programmes to support families and communities in areas of deprivation and from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic groups.

Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We dont like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.

A typical day as an Engagement Officer might include :

  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments
  • Establish effective and reliable referral relationships with local community and health partners from various settings, including GPs, hospital trusts, mental health trusts and voluntary organisations.
  • Using your understanding of Health Inequalities and BME populations to design an approach that specifically engages target groups into community health services and innovative new programmes.
  • Deliver community outreach and events.
  • Work with colleagues and Thrive Tribe's marketing team to deliver localised campaigns, that are linked with larger initiatives such as the national Better Health campaign.
  • Contributing to the marketing for Achieve Oxfordshire, this could be the stakeholder newsletters or social media content.
  • Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance.
  • Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our value

    To work with us in this role you will need to have some experience building partnerships with stakeholders, presenting to groups and generating new referrals.

    An understanding of health inequalities and supporting vulnerable populations and communities would be desirable. However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job we would love to hear from you!

    Contract : 0.5 Part Time, Fixed Term 12 Month Contract

    Salary : £24,000 FTE (Pro-Rata £12,000)

    Location : This job is based in Oxfordshire, with regular travel across the County (car owner desired) & occasional requirements to attend Thrive Tribe HQ in Stratford, London.
