The Marketing Manager, will work within the Ostomy franchise with specific responsibility for D2C.

This role serves to support three primary areas of the business; the me+ support programme a free resource for those living with a stoma, ConvaTec products with product priorities, and Amcare Group the stoma product delivery arm of the business.

In your role you will be responsible for developing from concept to creation, innovative campaigns that work cross-channel to drive new customer acquisition, up-

sell / cross-sell, improve engagement and aid retention. Supported with colleagues in disciplines across Digital, Social, email and exhibitions, this role requires an in-

depth understanding of Direct Marketing and print production techniques.

Working closely with a dedicated Customer Insight analyst you will identify opportunities within customer segments to optimise revenue opportunities.

This includes improvements in targeting, messaging and positioning. You will be well practiced in designing and planning actionable campaigns cross-

channel, and have a good understanding of the value of each channel within the marketing mix.

This is a true cross-functional role at the center of all DtC activities working very closely with a range of Business Area Managers, Consumer Sales & Operations, Field Sales and our external partners to ensure cohesiveness in successful execution.

This person reports to the UKI Associate Director Ostomy marketing and will support the development of strategic and tactical UKI plans across all DtC.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of Consumer Marketing strategy Plan, develop, and execute direct-to-consumer lead generation campaigns across key consumer channels (primary responsibility for Direct Marketing execution) that result in increased customer acquisition, loyalty and conversionWork with data and analyze trends to drive segmentation and enhance effectiveness of campaignsEnsure quality and on-
  • time execution of all campaigns and overall program performance

  • Drive New Product Consumer Launch Excellence Lead direct-to-consumer planning and execution of new product launches to ensure consumer touch points are fully optimised to drive brand awareness and samplingFacilitate product transitions in the consumer channel (APS)Work closely with Global product teams, Consumer Sales & Operations and Digital Product Manager to drive consumer launch excellence of new product launches
  • Additional Work closely with and support the Digital Marketing Specialist and database marketing specialist to align and maximise business and content strategies with all online and offline DtC campaignsEnsure ongoing effective communication and training on me+ and consumer marketing programs to various audiences, internally and externally to ensure coherence and alignment among stakeholdersEngage and manage external resources including agencies and vendor partnersContinually identify new opportunities along the consumer journey for greater optimisation and business impact across both ConvaTec and Amcare™ Group business

    Must Have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in consumer or product marketing
  • A strong knowledge base of consumer sales operations and execution in a healthcare setting would be an advantage
  • Ability to develop business plans, and then manage the tactical execution with the designated team
  • Evidence of expertise in Direct Mail
  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience working collaboratively with 3rd party vendors
  • Experience working in high-performance teams in faced paced environment desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results against tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and analytical skills essential
  • Understanding of business reporting and performance metrics essential
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Business plan development and tactical execution
  • Strong business acumen and insight to sales & costs drivers
  • Knowledge and analytical skills to understand the key levers within sales and marketing
  • Understanding of how processes and systems should be set up to best support high sales and marketing performance
  • Understanding of the dynamics of the UKI healthcare market and the key issues facing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers
  • Proficiency at developing and delivering business presentations
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels, including senior leadership
  • Understanding of organizational structure, operating culture and effective work styles
  • Broad understanding of ConvaTec’s business, customers, and products
  • Broad understanding of core business functions, including Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Information Management and Operations
  • Know how to engage and collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Power-user of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
