Do you have experience of working in a professional services role in Higher Education and an interest in contributing to quality assurance and enhancement activities?

The University of Strathclyde’s Quality Enhancement & Assurance Team oversees a range of policies and processes designed to ensure the University meets internal and external requirements for quality assurance and academic standards, drawing on external guidance and expertise.

Additionally, the Team works with colleagues from across the University, including Senior Officers, to undertake a range of quality enhancement activities to continuously enrich the student experience.

In this role, you will provide the secretariat to University-level committees, manage the University’s collaborative provision Code of Practice and associated activities, draft and consult on policies and procedures, manage and develop key processes, contribute to the management of institution-led review and external review activities, provide expert advice to colleagues on a broad range of academic quality-related matters and ensure current knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and sectoral developments.

You will motivate and manage a small Team, providing support and advice, working collaboratively with these colleagues to achieve the aims of the Team.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Quality Enhancement & Assurance Team as well as those across the Directorate of Education Enhancement, academic colleagues holding Senior Officer roles, colleagues based in faculties, and staff based in the University’s professional services.

There are often tight timescales and competing deadlines for the work to which you will be contributing, so attention to detail, an aptitude for effectively communicating with a diverse group of individuals, excellent team working skills and an ability to work efficiently and flexibly will be key to succeeding in the role.

Previous experience of managing collaborative provision activities and frameworks within a quality assurance environment will be desirable.

Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 13 June 2022.
