This is an opportunity to play a lead role in one of the Southwest’s leading Sawmills.

You will be responsible for the day to day running and further growth of the business.

You will also assist the MD to achieve financial targets and have an opportunity to stamp you own mark on the business, going forward.

The successful candidate would possess the ambition and drive to take this company forward and share the environmental ethos that has been the bedrock of the company’s existence.

This is a fantastic opportunity in a fast paced, challenging role where you will be able to make a positive impact on the business and be recognised for your achievement.

The role would involve overseeing the sales and production of the business.

Knowledge of timber and timber products, both processing and manufacturing would be an advantage.

Although training will be provided in some specialised areas.

Team building and leadership are the key requirement for this role along with a proven track record.

You should also be used to working in Metric or Imperial dimensions, and have the ability to problem solve on the go. You will also share responsibility for some training, and oversee health and safety policies and adhered to.

The successful candidate will, have a friendly and approachable disposition when dealing with Staff and customers at all times.

Good IT skills in accounts, MS Word, Outlook and Excel will also be required.

In the Sales role, you would enjoy dealing with customers and being knowledgeable in their requirements.

Ultimately translating their requests into orders.

This position is a permanent, year round, full time position. Many of the present employees have long service with the company.

Sales Manager

To administer all sales orders, and order processing, and updating the order book data base.

Deal with customers, either in person, by telephone or E-mail.


To organise schedules for the sawmill, to take into account, orders, stock control and manufacturing requirements.


To organise schedules for timber product manufacturing.


To organise delivery schedules to customers requirements.

Dealing with some Email enquiries.

Produce production reports and schedules.

Produce finance and sales reports.

The Sawmill is in a remote location; therefore your own transport is essential.

A reference letter from your previous employer should be available if you are invited to an interview.
