Our client is looking for a driven Sous Chef who is passionate about producing high quality dishes with all fresh produce.

This 4* Hotel located close to Kendal has 30 bedrooms, 50 cover 2 Rosette Restaurant, you will be working in a kitchen brigade of 7.

  • Assist the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen and to take over in Head Chef's absence.
  • Work across all sections of the kitchen, providing support and guidance where needed.
  • Adopt and maintain the strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ensure consistent quality through a hands on approach to prep and service.
  • Assist with the training and development of the junior members of the team.
  • Experience in a rosette establishment.
  • You will be able to support the Head Chef and take control of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence whilst managing and encouraging the Junior chefs.
  • You will have the ability to work unsupervised with strong management skills.
  • As always, it is very important that you are a team player with a steady career history.
  • You must be highly motivated, focused with a positive attitude.
  • It is preferable that you have experience in menu creation and development in a similar establishment.
