About the role In this role you will facilitate the running of SEIS-UK, the NERC funded national seismic equipment facility, to enable UK academics to run successful seismic research projects throughout the world, providing equipment, training, field support and data management.
You will ensure that equipment is tested and in perfect operational condition before being supplied to approved projects, whilst our storerooms are maintained to ensure a safe working environment.
In addition, you will manage projects in conjunction with UK academics and other internal institutes from conception stage, through to completion.
About you With a PhD (or equivalent) in Geophysics / Physics or a related discipline or significant relevant experience, you will have experience of geophysical or geological fieldwork.
In addition, you will be able to evidence your ability to take on challenges outside your sphere of expertise, alongside being able to plan and manage your time effective, in order to meet deadlines.
In this key role, you will have the ability to work as a member of a team, whilst being able to work independently with initiative.
