An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint 2 Pensions Data Analysts within the fund’s Governance & Corporate Services team.

The West Midlands Pension Fund is a local authority Pension Fund based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The Fund is one of the UK’s largest pension funds, managing and administering the pension interest of our members and scheme employers.

We currently have over 320,000 scheme members, 700 employers with £20bn of assets under management.

We are seeking highly organised and flexible Pensions Data Analysts to process and review member data in bulk to ensure all work is completed to a high-quality standard.

The position includes responsibility for : -

To be responsible for the complex rectification of member data (in bulk and at an individual member level) across the Fund’s membership where rectification is identified through system reporting outputs or regulatory change.

To support the implementation of Data Management action plans where necessary or as a result of a targeted and proactive management of Fund data.

To produce any required documentation resulting from the processing activity including the issuing of documentation to members, the production of performance dashboards to the Fund’s employers in line with the Pension Administration Strategy and to feed the strategic review of the Fund’s data quality and delivery of its Data Management Strategy.

To maintain accurate records of analysis and rectification undertaken enabling a lessons learned management of processing activity effecting continual change and enhancement to data management processes.

To communicate complex data analysis to fund employees and managers recommending action as appropriate in the delivery of data management projects identified by the Data Management Strategy.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of pension member records with significant experience of working in a pensions industry working with complex data.

They will have excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss complex data and pension issues with people at all levels of knowledge, understanding and seniority.
