Server Application Specialist

The Secure Connectivity Services (SCS) Domain has experienced significant growth and needs to expand its existing team as it continues to diversify and secure new business.
A Server Application Specialist role is required to support the need for improved support to the Server Estate within the SCS Services Centre.
This role is the lead project server engineer in the NIS Services Centre to support the server estate which hosts all applications within the core infrastructure and for customers.
In this role you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of the following :
Cluster set up and configuration
Shared Storage NetApp
Hardening (Hypervisor + VMX)
The successful individual will require comprehensive knowledge and expertise across a multitude of technologies including VMware (ESXi), Windows (in particular virtual environments, Active Directory and Server hardening) and Solarwinds, Linux and Cisco products.
You will have the ability to analyse complex technical problems and offer innovative, reasoned and practical solutions as well as being self-motivated, innovative & willing to exercise initiative.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and / or education history for up to three years.
