Agrochemical Business Development Manager European Labels

Position Highlight : The Agrochemical BDM will manage the existing agrochem customers in addition to research, identifying and targeting additional agrochemical sales aligned to the business strategy and plans within the European Labels cluster.

The role will be homebased, but the successful candidate needs to be based in mainland Europe with good access to airports and train networks.

How you will impact WestRock :

  • Develop in conjunction with your manager and in line with Label strategy, a New Business Development plan for agreed target markets
  • Target and develop new customer relationships to increase sales volume and maximise profitability in selected target market sectors
  • To work in support of and in conjunction with Key Account personnel
  • Provide detailed market intelligence including, competitor activity and market trends to support business development
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the relevant target market sectors to identify and exploit business opportunities for the European Consumer Labels Division
  • Project manage the introduction of new customers into the business ensuring their effective handover to the account management teams when appropriate in terms of time and development plan
  • Provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary to support business planning activities
  • Actively provide accurate input to the CRM system (Salesforce.com) in line with prescribed ways of working for : customer contact, opportunity management, key account inputs and customer related action plan
  • Liaise and partner with technical teams to generate and commercialise new ideas in terms of products and processes to generate profitable income
  • Liaise with the Commercial Manager in promoting the product capabilities leading to increased focus on added value sales growth and product development
  • What you need to succeed :

  • A degree in any field or degree calibre through gained through experience
  • Exceptional selling and negotiation skills
  • Experience in a similar role within the same / similar market would be very advantageous
  • Commercial awareness and a clear understanding of cost drivers within the manufacturing process
  • Be a self-starter with a tactical approach to work
  • Target driven and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
