An opportunity has arisen for a graduate to join the support staff at a school in Cheshire East. The role will focus on providing support and guidance when necessary, helping teaching staff as well as supporting students who require additional provision.

Requirements for this support role are as follows :

  • Must be educated to degree level as a minimum requirement.
  • Must have experience in working within a school previously, OR have worked with children within another capacity.
  • Must be able to display resilience in the face of adversity, as well as being able to effectively manage expectations of both staff and students.
  • The role of a teaching assistant within the school, focuses on the following :

  • Developing educational material and resources that are adequate in catering for the needs of all of the individuals within a group.
  • Monitoring behaviour of students in line with school policy, as well as offering feedback to subject leaders / senior leaders on any pastoral issues that may arise.
  • Implementing individual learning plans and interventions, as well as consulting with teachers on how best to formulate and best deliver these plans.
  • Workingto recommendations made by Ofsted, as well as understanding the implications of these recommendations on the school itself.
  • Supporting those with SEN, and understanding the complexities often faced by children with SEN.
  • Assisting those with who require EAL support, and being able to meet the needs of these children, whilst also being understanding of the differing demands that these children may have.
  • Pay - GBP275-350 per week.
  • This position will begin after the Easter break, and will run until the end of the academic year.

    The school’s location in Cheshire East is a short distance from Manchester city centre. There are numerous public transport links located close by.
