In a nutshell, we build buses and coaches. In fact, more than half of the buses you see on the roads in the UK are built by Alexander Dennis.
We have a huge responsibility for keeping the world moving.
We are saving the planet. Our purpose is to support Governments globally with their push to reduce pollution and improve air quality by building greener, more eco-friendly buses.
We love our customers. So much so, almost every bus we build is bespoke what the customer wants, we will do our best to deliver.
We have a fantastic Canadian parent company called NFI. They welcomed us into the family in , and we haven’t looked back ever since.
We are building back and growing again, winning new orders in Germany and Ireland which will be manufactured right here in the UK.
Our global footprint is pretty impressive. We have a presence in some super cool places across the world from Hong Kong to Auckland to Toronto.

Your Dream Role
An exciting opportunity to lead our UK Operations division within our successful Aftermarket business.
Lead and execute the UK Aftermarket Operations strategy to ensure Alexander Dennis remains the number one parts supplier for our customers in the UK and internationally.
Develop and lead the SHEQ, Export, Warehouse and Field Operations Management teams, ensuring a high level of performance to support the delivery of the Aftermarket Sales plan.
Become a key member of the Alexander Dennis and Group Aftermarket leadership teams, responsible for delivering on our strategic imperatives.
Assume general management responsibility for our Skelmersdale site including security, infrastructure, maintenance, and utilities.
Responsible for the Aftermarket Quality Management System and Quality Procedure Manual, ensuring all requirements satisfy ISO : certification.
Lead by example ensuring a culture of continuous improvement is cultivated to seek out waste in all its forms and promote efficiency across your teams.

Extensive senior management experience within a busy and complex operations or warehouse / distribution network.
The ability to inspire, coach, and lead direct management reports to maximise their full potential is absolutely key to this position.
First class communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
The ability to lead by example. Set and assume acceptable workplace behavioural standards for all operations team members.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to digest data and articulate, as necessary.
Driven, curious, and passionate about delivering the highest quality of work at all times.
Things can be hectic here so you will have the ability to work unsupervised, often to tight deadlines.
Generally, someone who is approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Degree / HND / HNC level or equivalent experience.
Lean Six Sigma trained with MCILT or IOM membership all desirable.
