The successful candidate will become part of a new team located in our Crawley office responsible for the private cloud, within the existing wider Equiniti IT function.
All team members will share a number of responsibilities, split across two themes ( Supporting’ and Developing’) which will be have equal time allocated.
There will also be travel to regional sites, or offices as required. The successful candidate will need to be available out of hours for critical tasks and events.
Equiniti is building a new private cloud capability that will be used primarily by software divisions across the group as a platform for the sale of their products (Mixture of SaaS, IaaS and PaaS), as well as other strategic systems.
In addition to new business wins, a range of public and private clients will be migrated from their existing hosted platforms onto this new platform.
Core Duties / Responsibilities
Developing Fabric of the private cloud, refining and developing the configuration, automation and features. Evangelise new methodologies and assist Tenant Administrators’ with developing their environment.
Understand and support software development teams across Equiniti, raising awareness of infrastructure deployment mechanisms and methodologies early in the development lifecycle.
Supporting Proactively, the private cloud fabric. On boarding of new tenants, from existing hosted solutions and new business wins.
Tenant Administrators’ across different IT teams within Equiniti. Business units with technical pre-sales support.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following : Experienced IT infrastructure professional with ten years’ experience or five years with a degree in a computer science or equivalent.
Experience in working in a regulated environment and controls, with awareness of; ISO 27001, ITIL, Prince2 and Government accredited environments.
Experience in mentoring and supporting technical roles. Experience in articulating complex technical problems to non-technical individuals.
Operating Systems Windows Server 2008 2012 R2, with an understanding of 2016 developments. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5-7.
Virtualisation Hyper-V Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft System Centre Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 Application Delivery Controllers ( ADC’) F5 Big-
