To take the client to appointments, to shopping trips or social events is an important part of the job.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver but you will have a passion for supporting others and take pride in delivering an outstanding service.

Our CAREGivers usually work between 10-20 hours per week and cover some mornings and evening shifts, generally between 8.
00 - 2.00pm and 4.00 - 10.00pm, with Saturday and Sunday shifts on alternate weekend. We can be flexible so talk to us about what you can do and we will accommodate you if we can.

We are looking for new Part-Time CAREGivers to join our highly successful team of CAREgivers, who offer support and assistance to the elderly within our community.
Home Instead Senior Care Welwyn and Hatfield offer support to clients who live in Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City, and of course surrounding villages.
We help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride care and compassion and to remain in their own homes for as long as possible enhancing the quality of their life.
The CAREGiving we offer generally comprises of three types of care and includes :
Personal Care - Supporting our clients both morning and evenings to start and end the day by assisting with washing and dressing and, helping to choose weather appropriate clothing, and to do it all in reverse in the evening.
Sometimes personal care is more intimate and involves assisting the client with changing of continence pads and assisting with catheter care, always ensuring our clients retain their dignity.
Home Help - Meal preparation, running errands, collecting medication, helping with food shopping, clearing out of date food from the fridge, or a little light housework.
Companionship Care - What could be nicer than a short walk on a summer's day or attending a social event, perhaps a garden centre finished off with a nice cup of tea and a chat about what is happening in the world.
We like to think that when we offer companionship to clients then we adjust to their likes and needs so we expect our CAREGivers to be open minded and adaptable.

The main qualification we seek is that you have a desire to help and assist older people. That combined with a compassionate heart and an abundance of common sense is all the experience we need.

We do insist that all CAREGivers have their own transport this is a necessity for the role and is non-negotiable.
We also require that you have clear and concise verbal communication skills this is because our clients often have some hearing loss and also dementia and need to be able to understand what you are saying.
