Inventory Manager Bike Share Scheme

Permanent 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Start date : January 2021

With the scheme mobility date upcoming, we are keen to identify a talented and passionate Inventory Manager for what promises to be an exciting and innovative project.

About you

First and foremost, you’ll need to be an experienced Inventory Manager (or similar) with the following abilities / experience -

  • Experience of working with a large supply chain
  • Experience of working with external suppliers
  • Experience using stock management systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, Word etc.)
  • Strong organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Desired;
  • Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
  • An interest in bikes for leisure and commuting purposes
  • Project management experience
  • Forklift license (training can be provided)
  • Public transport / Micro-mobility experience
  • This is a pivotal role which will play a large part in determining the success of this exciting new venture. It will see you take ownership of a large inventory of bikes, on street hire stations and spare parts.

  • Your responsibilities will include;
  • Management and deployment of on street assets (bike stations)
  • Management of workshop spares (bike parts)
  • Management of a small vehicle fleet
  • Regular stocks-takes and alignment
  • Managing of contractors performing on street installations
  • Own and deliver against KPI's for the operation’s and supply chain
  • Making sure the stock levels are maintained
  • Help to develop stock management systems
  • Liaise and communicate with the wider Serco supply chain team and suppliers
  • Seek to continually improve processes and identify areas of potential weaknesses
  • Inspire the inventory team to care about our customers, brand and products

    Please be advised that this role is dependent upon a successful tender for the contract with start dates being from September 2020 should we be successful.
