The Client Audit Managerwill have theunique and genuine opportunity to be involved in growing and shaping this new service for the firm.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage the key and strategic client audit process from start to finish. Be the "face" of TLT to the client audit team.
  • Prepare written responses to client audit questionnaires and present face to face with the client on the results.

  • Working alongside the Risk Director and other senior stakeholders to develop the TLT internal and external audit management solution and demonstrate continuous process improvement on client audit work streams so that we can articulate TLT successes to clients.
  • Applying best practice methodologies and appropriate technologies to ensure audit services are delivered on time, utilising the best people with the correct expertise and to a standard that exceeds TLT's clients' expectations.
  • Working with the subject matter experts across the firm, develop the capability to ensure that alignment is achieved with client policy requirements wherever possible and all client policies are risk assessed and risk mapped against existing and planned internal services, policies and processes.
  • Identify gaps in internal processes, working with the relevant stakeholders across the firm to implement effective change management.
  • Working with the subject matter experts across the firm, develop standard response templates to common areas of client audit interest particularly in the information security and IT areas
  • Manage the responses from stakeholders and subject matter experts such as policy and process amendment / change, taking responsibility for oversight and quality control of outputs.
  • Involvement in the risk and compliance, IT and info sec teams to help develop various solutions to further enhance the client audit process.
  • Identifying and helping to implement new technology solutions internally and externally to facilitate improved efficiency.
  • Continuing to develop audit standards for, processes, toolkits and guidelines to assist TLT in developing a consistent, default approach to client audit.

    You will be able to demonstrate a similar supportive, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills :

  • Commercially aware, results driven, analytical, decisive decision maker
  • At least 5 years' experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Extensive experience in project management projects in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Deep experience of project management and a change management mind set and demonstrable achievements in this area.
  • Must have PM / programme management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, Certified PMP, MoP or MSP, or equivalent) or extensive (+5 years) experience of working within formal project and programme processes.
  • Experience of interacting with InfoSec and IT teams and a degree of familiarity with concepts, language and terminology as well as ability to interpret IT related reports.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret client policies and relate these to TLT processes. Experience of policy drafting and amendment essential.
  • An understanding of risk mapping and operational risk principles preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in process improvement preferably legal.
  • Expertise in managing various stakeholders and in particular gaining senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships quickly with excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Good expertise in providing internal and external presentations with clear presentational style.
  • A good working knowledge of legal matters and working in a legal environment preferred.
