Are you an experienced Production Manager looking for a new role? I am currently handling a full time, permanent position with a hazardous waste management company that also handles chemicals in West Yorkshire.
The company offers 25 days holiday, Life Assurance and Pension. The company is part of a larger group with sites nationwide.
The Production Manager will be based within the company's chemical division and will be responsible to the Site Manager.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a chemical process environment, especially with distillation.
Strong people-management skills are also required.
As a Distillation Production Manager, the main responsibilities of your role will be :
The safe and efficient operation of the plants, maximising yields and production rates.
Compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations and all relevant management systems procedures.
The maintenance of an up-to-date Plant Training Manual and organisation of training for all production personnel in conjunction with the Plant / Shift Managers.
Driving improvements to the site through Continuous Improvement.
Maximising output whilst operating within site production budgets.
To manage the operation of the plants and the work of the production staff.
To plan production schedules weekly to generate production plans.
To effectively manage all areas of production :
To implement new projects and arrange plant trials.
To periodically review and appraise production staff and recommended actions / rewards and training from the review.
To be responsible for the motivation, performance and discipline of production staff within the guidelines of the company's rules and conditions of employment.
Be an active member of all site teams embracing Hazid, Hazop, Risk Assessment, Management of Change, Safety Committee, ICG etc.
To explore opportunities for continuous improvement of the site to improve aspects of safety, environmental, cost and operational performance.

As a Distillation Production Manager, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience :
Degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related subject.
Strong people manager - essential.
Extensive experience in a chemical processing and chemical production environment - essential.
Experience with distillation - essential.
Site management aspirations.
Commercial awareness with a customer focus.
SAP experience - desirable.
