Salary - £25,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on skills & experience

  • About the role

    MDT Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective co-ordination of MDT services for site specific multidisciplinary teams primarily in respect of meetings, outcomes, relevant targets and datasets / audits.

    MDT Coordinator will provide dedicated administrative support to ensure the MDT work together to provide high quality care for patients.

    Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the function of MDT meetings.
  • Ensure the list of patients to be discussed at the MDT meetings are prepared and distributed to the team members well in advance of the meeting.
  • Ensure all correspondence, notes, imaging and results etc are available for all meetings.
  • Ensure all patients identified are discussed / noted against the local standards
  • Ensure all members or their deputy are advised of meetings and any changes of dates / times / venues
  • Establish effective communication networks with clinicians and other members of the MDT and actively participate in development and change to any systems
  • Co-ordinate operational MDT reviews with clinicians and clinical nurse specialists, attend meetings, record discussions, decisions and updates, type report appropriately and distribute.
  • Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be aware of the Health and Safety Regulations and security within the department.
  • Be aware of emotional issues due to the nature of the working department.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all matters relating to patients, colleagues and the department contained in either case notes or in a computerised system.
