At Home Instead St Albans we pick our CAREGivers for their character and values and expertly train them to support our elderly clients.

Providing companionship based care and support is the foundation of the high quality care we deliver to our local clients in their own homes.

We do things differently to many other care providers! Our focus is on the CAREGiver and client relationship, supporting CAREGivers with minimum call visit times of 1 hour, introductions to all new clients and visiting regular clients at regular times to build relationships.

We are looking for part-time CAREGivers with evening availability covering St Albans and the surrounding areas. Flexible part-time hours from 16 25 hours per week.

Job Description

As an Evening Support Worker with us you will need to be caring, compassionate and reliable. You don't need any experience as we provide training however, experience of working with or interacting with older people will also be beneficial.

Supporting clients in St Albans - Radlett - Harpenden - Leavesden Green & surrounding areas

Hours available :

  • 5pm - 7.30pm
  • 6pm - 9.45pm
  • OTHER EVENING HOURS CONSIDERED

    Minimum 1 hour visits - full introduction to new clients - regular clients

  • COMPANIONSHIP CARE SUPPORT
  • We focus on our Support Assistant and Client relationships, supporting you with full training, client introductions, regular clients at regular times and minimum 1 hour visits.

    Support Assistant Responsibilities :

  • Providing day to day support to our clients, ensuring they remain independent within their own homes
  • Deliver quality companionship based care and support to every client
  • Ensure the environment in which our clients live is safe and clean
  • You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others
  • Support Assistant Benefits :

  • Minimum one hour visits - we don't do 15 or 30 minute calls!
  • Our Carers visit regular clients at regular times
  • We introduce you to new clients to make sure you feel confident and comfortable
  • Our pay rates range from £10.00 to £12.25 per hour
  • Your clients will be local to you - so no long commutes!
  • You'll receive holidays, paid mileage, company pension and discount scheme
  • Training is provided, so no previous experience is required - just the right attitude!
  • An experienced office team will always be on-hand to provide guidance & support
  • We support your career development and sponsor our Carers through QCF level 2 Training. Our mentor team will also guide and support all new employees throughout their career with us.

  • To be a Support Worker / Carer we need to be happy that you'd be suitable to care for our own parents. It's called the 'Mum Test'
